To foster and encourage student development in the musical arts.

Next Boosters Meeting is October 13, at 7:00 p.m.

Tonight -- Levy Community Information meeting

We all realize how important music and the arts are in the overall educational experience of our children.  In order to keep our quality music program in the Independence Local Schools, it's important for all of us to understand the importance and need for the passage of Issue 8, the district's operating levy that will be on the ballot Tuesday, November 2.

Mr. David Laurenzi, our superintendent, has invited us to a Community Information Night on Wednesday, September 22 at 7pm in the high school auditorium.  He will share with us the impact this levy has on our district and will be happy to answer any questions we have.  It is important to have all of the accurate facts. All are encouraged to attend this presentation.

In the meantime, you can find more information out about the levy on the website: www.independence.k12.oh.us/oplevy.  The committee has also set up a facebook page: "Friends of Independence Schools" that you can become a "friend" and receive information.  Also, a spaghetti dinner fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, October 15 at the I.M.S. cafeteria from 4-7 pm.

Photo Buttons are ready for pickup

Buttons will be available again at the next home game on September 17 or by calling Marcia Abbadini 216-447-8393.
